[DEVELOPING] Applied Materials posts a record quarter and raises its outlook; the shares fall about 5%

Applied Materials reported fiscal Q3 after the close on 2026-08-13 with revenue of $9.115bn, up 25% year on year and its largest sequential growth on record, and non-GAAP EPS of $3.50, up 41%. Q4 guidance was set at roughly $10.25bn ±$500m with EPS near $4.02, and calendar-2026 Semiconductor Systems growth was raised to above 30% from above 20%. The shares nonetheless fell about 4.9% after hours and closed 507.18 on 08-14, down 5.12%, with reporting attributing the reaction to near-term margin guidance rather than the headline figures. Watch whether the semicap group separates from the memory names it has been trading with.
