[FLASH] Anthropic investors target a $2 trillion October listing, which would be the largest IPO on record

The Financial Times reported on 2026-08-13, with the account carried the same day by Fortune, Forbes and Quartz, that Anthropic's backers expect an October listing at a valuation of $2 trillion or more, ahead of SpaceX's $1.77tn June debut; about half a dozen investors put annualised revenue at $100-120bn by year-end against the $47bn reported in May. The reports state explicitly that the valuation has not been formally fixed inside the company and that the run-rate figure reflects current sales pace rather than booked revenue. The bank mandate underneath it is not new - Bloomberg reported on 2026-06-03 that Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan would lead the offering - so the fresh content on 08-13 is the price and the month, not the fee pool.
