[UPDATE] Cyber names hold post-Black Hat records on AI-agent threat demand, with Palo Alto reporting 08-18
CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks each rose more than 5% to record highs on 2026-08-10 after the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas, where BTIG reported that the most consistent theme across partner, vendor and customer conversations was that AI agents have changed the threat landscape while AI-security deployment remains in early innings; BTIG lifted its targets to $380 on PANW and $237 on CRWD. CrowdStrike has since positioned its Agentic MDR platform around non-human identity and automated detection-investigation-response. The next dated checkpoints are earnings: Palo Alto Networks on 2026-08-18 and CrowdStrike on 2026-09-02.
