[FLASH] CoreWeave falls 15.5% as its bond yields reach 15-16%; AI-credit selloff hits Oracle, Nebius, Dell
On Oct 14 Reuters reported that CoreWeave shares fell 15.5% and its 9.75% 2031 bond yielded 16%, a new price low. Oracle fell 9% and its 4.9% 2033 bond hit a record low, while the Nasdaq dropped 1.9%, its biggest fall in three months, as hot CPI data combined with souring sentiment toward AI financing. The 24/7 Wall St. account of the selloff notes Chamath Palihapitiya's post about a 15% yield and co-founder Brannin McBee's view that investment-grade ratings on chip-backed debt would open up insurer capital. Simply Wall St. says debt costs and refinancing risk now sit at the center of the CoreWeave story. To watch: secondary bond pricing, any ratings actions and CoreWeave's next funding and backlog disclosures.
