[DEVELOPING] DeepSeek open-sources Harness v0.1 under MIT as a Claude Code rival, while pricing V4-Pro higher

DeepSeek published the deepseek-harness repository on GitHub under the MIT licence on 13 August, an agent runtime built on its Cordis meta-framework and positioned directly against Anthropic's Claude Code; it is model-agnostic across DeepSeek, Anthropic, OpenAI, Bedrock, Vertex and Azure endpoints. The same launch carried V4-Pro onto the API at higher prices, which cuts against the simple reading that Chinese labs are only competing downward on cost. Reporting notes v0.1 ships without the reliability polish of the incumbent and warns of compatibility-breaking changes.
