[DEVELOPING] DOJ questions Nvidia's $12.9B Hugging Face deal within broader conduct probe, Reuters reports

Reuters, citing two people familiar with the matter, reported that the DOJ is asking whether owning Hugging Face would give Nvidia control of a key distribution channel for AI models. The questions are part of a long-running conduct probe that also covers Groq, Run:ai and SchedMD, and possible bundling of GPU allocations. PYMNTS says CNBC confirmed the probe through its own source. NVDA fell 1.7% on Oct. 28. The DOJ and Nvidia declined to comment, and the reports note that an inquiry does not necessarily lead to enforcement. To watch: any formal merger-review step ahead of the targeted first-half-2027 close.
