[DEVELOPING] Google privacy policy now lets opted-in Gmail and Photos data shape ads, including in AI Mode

PPC Land and Dexerto (Oct 23) report that Google's revised privacy policy now allows content from Drive, Gmail and Photos to inform personalized ads when users connect those apps to AI features such as Personal Intelligence. Google is also testing ads in AI Mode for those connected users. Google's help page says ads draw on summaries and inferences, not directly on inboxes, and advertisers get no new targeting or reporting. This bears on AI-search monetization: Google's personal-context answers are becoming ad inventory. Open points are the test's scope and markets, and any regulatory or user pushback.
