[FLASH] Google signs 3,590 MW of Constellation power deals in PJM, including 890 MW of new nuclear uprates

Google and Constellation announced two agreements on Oct 6. A 20-year PPA funds about $4.3B of uprates at 11 PJM nuclear units for 890 MW of new capacity, and a separate 15-year deal covers 2,700 MW from Constellation's existing fleet, which adds no new capacity. The companies called the deal a direct response to PJM's 'Bring Your Own Power' proposal. POWER reports the first uprate is expected by 2028, with the full 890 MW by the end of 2032, subject to regulatory review. Next markers: the NRC uprate filings, and whether the capacity is registered under PJM's mechanism pending at FERC.
