[UPDATE] The memory complex extended its melt-up into the weekend, with SanDisk up 35% over five sessions
SanDisk rose 7.39% on 14 August and about 35% over five sessions, with Western Digital up 4.41% and 17% and Micron up 2.30% and 10.7% over the same spans, following SanDisk's 13 August investor day. The move split the semiconductor basket rather than lifting it: SMH was flat at -0.22% on the session while Applied Materials fell 5.12% and KLA 2.70%. Memory input costs are the confirmed margin pressure Apple management characterised as a hundred-year flood on 2 August.
