[FLASH] Meta launches Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, its first closed frontier models

On Oct 12, Meta released Muse Wonder through its Meta Model API at $4/$20 per million input/output tokens, and Muse Wonder Full for Muse Code subscribers only. Both have 1M-token context, and per TechCrunch they were trained at Meta's Prometheus data center in Ohio. Meta's own benchmarks put the models level with or ahead of rival frontier models, but TechCrunch notes no independent verification yet, and iClarified flags that the memory and focus tests are Meta's internal evaluations. Why it matters: Meta's capex now has a priced model product, which adds competition and pricing pressure at the frontier API tier. What to watch: independent evals, adoption, and when the model reaches the Muse consumer app.
