[DEVELOPING] Micron's Taoyuan union in Taiwan votes about 99% to authorize a strike over profit-sharing

The union at Micron's Taoyuan operations voted 1,994-14 to authorize a strike, with ballots counted on the night of Oct 6 per DIGITIMES. It is seeking 15% of operating profit through a permanent profit-sharing system. No strike date has been set. A rally is planned in Taipei on Oct 19, and the larger Taichung union (about 11,000 members) returns to mediation on Oct 22. Taiwan makes most of Micron's DRAM, so any stoppage would bear on supply during the memory upcycle.
