[DEVELOPING] Nvidia weighs up to $3bn into SoftBank's SB Energy while cutting its OpenAI Ohio guarantee
The Information reports Nvidia is in talks to take up to a $3bn stake in SB Energy, the SoftBank subsidiary building a 10GW Ohio campus for OpenAI, with half committed at signing and the rest tied to a planned SB Energy IPO. The same reporting has Nvidia reducing its guarantee for the project to under $120bn from the $250bn previously discussed, covering only the first ~5GW phase. It is the first dated movement on the backstop figure the desk had been treating as re-circulating rather than evolving; SB Energy is reported to be targeting a listing as soon as next month.
