At DevDay on Sep 29 (10:00 PT) OpenAI introduced Dots, a computer-using agent layer that runs on a user's machine, shipped GPT-6.1 Sol as a smaller model priced at roughly one-fifth of GPT-6.1, added a Pro 500 tier at $500 per month for heavy users, and opened an OpenAI Marketplace with 32 launch partners (CrowdStrike lists its Falcon platform there per a same-day Business Wire release). OpenAI's own recap and the CNBC/Engadget live coverage record no advertising product, no in-chat checkout and no new publisher licensing deals, and the CFO told CNBC the IPO is deferred. GPT-6.1 Astra, the larger model reported shelved on Sep 28, did not appear.
