[UPDATE] RELX posts AI-led first-half growth as Legal expands on its agentic Lexis+ assistant
RELX reported underlying revenue growth of 7% and adjusted operating profit up 9% to £1.7bn, with margin improving to 35.5% from 34.8% and the Legal division growing at double digits on adoption of the AI-enabled Lexis+ platform and its Protégé agentic assistant; the shares rose 1.5% on the print and the buyback has taken in 75,465,458 shares since 02 January. It is a working counter-example to the 'AI dissolves professional information services' framing: here the incumbent is selling the automation. The desk killed its own RELX short on this basis.
