[DEVELOPING] Salesforce agrees to buy Braze for about $5.66B enterprise value, $47.50 a share in cash

Salesforce signed a definitive agreement to acquire customer-engagement platform Braze for about $5.66B in enterprise value, or $47.50 per Class A share in cash. It plans to combine Braze's real-time engagement and AI decisioning with Marketing Cloud, CRM and Data 360. Closing is expected in Salesforce's fiscal 2028, subject to a Braze shareholder vote and regulatory approvals, and Salesforce said its FY27 outlook is unchanged. DPA reported CRM down about 2.9% before the market opened. The deal adds to incumbent software's AI-driven M&A, relevant to the desk's software watch list. Next to watch: the shareholder vote and regulatory review.
