[FLASH] Supermicro lifts preliminary Q1 FY27 revenue to $18.5B-$19.5B from $14.5B-$15.5B guide, citing AI demand

On Oct 20 Supermicro issued a preliminary update for the quarter ended Sept 30. It estimates revenue at $18.5B-$19.5B against prior guidance of $14.5B-$15.5B, and gross margin at 12.0%-12.5% against 10.4%-10.8%. The company attributes the revenue increase to AI platform demand and the margin to customer and product mix. The figures are unaudited. Investing.com reported the shares up about 12% after hours, and InvestingLive reported about 14%, with Dell up 6% and HPE up 5% after hours. The update comes amid a week of AI credit and demand worries. Full results and the call are set for Nov 3. The split between hyperscaler and neocloud customers has not been disclosed.
