[UPDATE] Thomson Reuters shares fall after Q3 as AI investment weighs on margins; organic outlook raised

Thomson Reuters reported 10% Q3 revenue growth to $1.83B and raised its 2026 organic growth outlook to 8.5–9.0%. The CFO said about 34% of underlying contract value relied on generative AI, up from 24% a year earlier. Shares fell about 7% on Nov 3. Reuters cited worries about AI spending, and legal-division margins slipped to 46.6% from 49%. Zacks said EPS and revenue missed its consensus and put the post-release decline at 9.9%. Note that Reuters is a Thomson Reuters unit; Zacks is the independent second source. Point to watch: whether investors treat AI spend as a margin cost or as a source of growth.
