[UPDATE] Thomson Reuters raises growth outlook but shares fall 7% on AI-spend margin pressure
Thomson Reuters reported Q3 revenue up 10% to $1.83B and raised its 2026 organic growth forecast to 8.5–9.0%. The shares fell 7% to $113.46 after Legal margins dropped to 46.6% from 49%, which the company attributed to AI investment, $22M of severance and the Noetica acquisition. About 34% of contract value relied on generative AI, versus 32% in Q2, and Scotia Capital's Maher Yaghi cited no evidence to date of a slowdown from AI-native entrants. This is a single source, and Reuters is a unit of the reporting company.
