The 10-year yield rose as high as 5.342% on Oct 1 (Reuters, CNBC), above its 2007 peak, before buyers stepped in; Treasury's par curve closed 10y 5.24% (-5bp), 2y 4.78%, 20y 5.64%, 30y 5.61%, so 2s10s widened to ~46bp. Q3 was the largest quarterly 10y rise since 1994 (+87bp); the reversal let the S&P 500 close +0.19% at 7,666.45 with semis leading. Watch whether Friday's payrolls print extends the pullback or re-tests 5.30%.
