[UPDATE] TSMC expected to post a sixth straight record quarterly profit when it reports Q3 on Thursday
In a preview datelined Taipei, Oct 12, Reuters says an LSEG SmartEstimate from 16 analysts puts TSMC's Q3 net profit up 65% to T$746.3B. Anything above T$706.56B would be a record and the company's 11th straight quarter of profit growth. Q3 revenue was already reported at a record level, up 50% year on year. Morgan Stanley expects TSMC to raise its full-year revenue growth guidance to the low-to-mid 40% range. Analysts expect questions about a possible Texas expansion, including Musk's Terafab complex. The report is a read-through for AI accelerator and CoWoS packaging demand. Things to watch on the 0600 GMT call: Q4 guidance, the 2026 capex range of $60–64B, and how the stock reacts.
