Reuters, citing one source, reported Saturday that the US will lend Vistra about $4.2 billion. That follows Bloomberg's Friday report of a ~$4 billion package. The money would fund power uprates at no fewer than three of Vistra's four nuclear stations (Perry, Davis-Besse, Beaver Valley), and Energy Secretary Chris Wright is expected to announce it Monday at the Perry plant on Lake Erie. DOE and Vistra did not comment, so the loan remains reported and unconfirmed until Monday's event.
